Von den dänischen Hocharomaten kommend, probierte ich erstmalig eine unaromatisierende Latakia-Mischung aus.

Packung aufgemacht - ach Du jeh. Wie riecht das denn?

Als ich das Zeug in die Pfeife stopfte, dachte ich noch: Ok, Du hast das Zeug bezahlt, also muss es auch geraucht werden.

Holla die Waldfee: Was für ein milder Genuss! Null aromatiesiert, nur durch den Würztabak aufgepeppt. Und dabei so mild. Wunderbar. Ich liebe ihn, meine erste Latakia-Mischung. Eine sanfte Wucht!
Germain's "Special Latakia Flake" – der fast schon legendäre Flake

Der fast schon legendäre Latakia-Flake aus dem Hause Germain's, fand leider viel zu lange nicht den Weg in meine Pfeifen. Haftet ihm doch der Nimbus einer "Latakia-Granate“ an. Mitnichten durfte ich feststellen, dass allen Unkenrufen zum Trotz, dieser Tabak weder eine "Latakia-Granate“, noch viel zu stark ist. Klar zeichnet der Latakia für eine gewisse Rauchigkeit bei diesem Tabakgenuss verantwortlich. Aber die Rauchigkeit ist so wunderbar und rund durch die Süße des Virginia eingebunden, und durch die feine Würze des Orient abgerundet, dass dadurch ein wirklich vollmundiger und köstlicher Tabak entsteht, der seinesgleichen lange suchen muss. Für Liebhaber rauchiger und naturnaher Tabake meine klare Empfehlung.
