Hearken because you are seeing Rattray's first System pipe. The special thing about a system pipe is the additional drilling in the shank which doesn't completely lead into the burning chamber. In this drilling the condensate collects itself – together with a strong turbulence of the dragged in air, makes for a very pleasantly dry and cool smoke.
